Pandemic Didn't Stop Services of our Partner Agencies

UWENM's Partner Agencies have kept the home fires burning for families across our area during this pandemic and economic downturn:

  • going virtual,
  • doing drive-thru distributions, and
  • doubling the help that is available.

We are so proud for the opportunity to support their work.

Food Bank of ENM met the pandemic challenges head-on: expanding access, reinventing their processes and giving away an additional 1 million pounds of food in their 5 counties.

Girl Scouts of NM Trails didn't miss a beat, taking troop activites online, adding new badges, bringing expert speakers and trainings to girls--a great way to fight the social distancing blues.

Curry Resident Senior Meals Association shifted to drive-thru mode and boosted service to an addition 50 senior citizens a day.

Portales Meals on Wheels never missed a beat, continuting to deliver meals M-F to homebound elders at high risk for Covid19.

These are just some of the ways that our Grant Partners carried on during the difficulties of 2020. We need your help so that in 2021, UWENM can keep supporting these vital services depended upon by our local families in need.
