Long Way to Fully Fund 2021

$550K in donations is what is needed to make possible the grants, programs and services of UWENM for 2021. Due to the highly disruptive 2020, we may not achieve that level this year. With so many families struggling and so many people feeling overwhelmed and anxious for the future, it has been a tough year for giving. We are anticipating a 25% shortfall or more.

2020 A year in Review

2020 began with an amazing addition to UWENM's focus on #YouthSUCCESS, when we became a Dolly Parton Imagination Library affiliate for Roosevelt and DeBaca Counties. Allowing children under 5 in those counties to receive FREE monthly books -just for them- for the first time. Currently 422 kiddos are getting these precious gifts every month.

Year Round Impact--Even During Pandemic

Because of donors like you and your loyal support our community has resilient organizations to see us through the hard times. United Way ENM and our partner agencies have been working hard in the time of COVID-19. We've had to adapt to meet the rising needs and the "new business norms." At UWENM, we moved our staff home to answer 211 calls remotely and keep up our services. -All possible because of your support.

Community Care Guide --2-1-1 /Curry Co Health Council Partnership

The Curry County Health Council wanted to produce a simple directory of health related services for the Curry County area and 2-1-1 was glad to collaborate! CCHC members and 211 staff compiled the entries, and 211 helped with layout of the info-tabloid drawing on our experience with the Summer Activity Guide.

Patricia Bazar Community Volunteer of the Year

It is our pleasure to recognize the volunteer service of Betty Williamson for numerous organizations in Roosevelt County--in memory of our beloved Patricia Velasquez Bazar whose love of community was revealed in the way she gave of herself.
