Our Board and Committees
Volunteers are at the heart of United Way of Eastern New Mexico. Individuals from the community make up the various groups and committees that help guide United Way and do its work.
Board of Directors--Charged with providing strategic guidance, financial stability and operational oversight, the Board of Directors is made up of community leaders from Roosevelt and Curry Counties. The board has two committees that oversee operations at UWENM: Executive Committee and Finance Committee. Two other committees maintain the organization: Bylaws Committee and Nominations /Development Committee.
Community Grant Panels --Over 60 volunteers from Curry and Roosevelt Counties reviewed the grant applications of over 44 local programs seeking United Way donor funds in 2008.
2-1-1 Steering and Awareness Committee --Helping United Way 2-1-1 Staff maintain the accuracy of our database of local resources, raisng awareness of 2-1-1, seeking partnerships and funding opportunities, these volunteers are helping to take 2-1-1 to the next level.
The UCrew--Led by the Campaign Chair, these volunteers do the biggest job at United Way...raising vital resources for our community. UCrew members ask local businesses and individuals to give a little or a lot. Every gift makes a difference and every gift is important.
