Volunteering is as American as apple pie and is one of our country's most powerful economic forces. When you put your muscle behind the causes that are important to you, you are changing our community and improving lives of your neighbors.
You can make a difference with only a few hours invested at a time. Call your favorite organization and offer your services! Or call 2-1-1 to learn about agenies that could use your help.
One special issue that could use your effort is our YOUTH! There is a movement to connect more adult mentors with our children and you can help! Mentoring is a key strategy in improving the literacy rates of our kids. Click here for a list schools that have volunteer opportunities.
