Day of Caring

Each year United Way of Eastern New Mexico works with community volunteers to make life better in Roosevelt County and Curry County. A Day of Caring is a day of volunteer activites that support projects that can be enjoyed by the public (like painting and cleaning parks) or projects that support the work of non-profits (like taking inventory and sorting donated items) or large scale projects that change neighborhoods (like building a playground).

Community Grant Volunteers

By joining a Community Grant Panel, donors to United Way of Eastern New Mexico connect themselves to what matters by helping decide where Community Grant dollars will be allocated in our community. With a team of five or six volunteers, panel members review agencies' program proposals, budgets, and service goals to determine which programs most efficiently meet the grant criteria. This review process takes place in February each year.
